"After a really tough few years" A Review
I have been grateful for a steady stream of four and five star reviews for my new book, New You! Who Knew? Every now and again one comes along that really touches me.
I share this review from Rebecca, who lives in England (The book is for sale in most English speaking countries, including England, Australia, India, Canada, and the USA). She posted the review on Amazon.com.uk. and it does not yet show up on the USA version, so I am sharing below.
Rebecca 5.0 out of 5 stars A book that I really needed to read! Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 April 2022Verified Purchase After a really tough few years, with the pandemic, work and personal ups and downs, this book was just what I needed to read. It has given me an impetus to take stock and re-evaluate, lifting me up from some of the routines and ruts I had fallen into that were not the best for my mental health and well-being. The book is beautifully easy to access, you don't need to be a self help guru to follow, it is easy to read and apply as the author guides you through! I loved the use of the metaphors of a tree and a captain woven throughout, both leading to a deeper appreciation of how it is critical for us to be 'the captain of your own life' in order to do the best we can in our own unique lives and fully reach our full potential. One of my favourite aspects of the book is the affirmations that come in each part. I have never really appreciated how powerful they are and the ones you find in this book are so on point, challenging negative thinking and reconditioning us to think differently. I would highly recommend this book. You don't have to be looking for major change to find it useful, because the work you can do using this book provides you with so many tools where ever you are on a journey of being your best self and it a book that I am going to constantly return to.
